Steps to making a Book Trailer:
Choose the right book. It should be one that you have really enjoyed and one that you would like other students to read.
Write your review. It should be about 10-15 sentences long. Tell us something about the book, but remember, don't give away the ending. If you like, click here for a Book Review form .
Make a folder for your work. We will create a folder in the Shared Library Folder under Book Trailers.
Find your pictures. After your review is created, we will meet to see what you would like to do for pictures. You may find some reuse or copyright free images at the following sites: Pics4Learning,Open Cip Art & DK Clip Art
Download or save images found. Right click & save picture on full size to your folder. Include the photographer's name and the title of the photo.
Open Photo Story 2 or Photo Story 3. Begin new story and save it to your file. Save often.
Import pictures from your file.
Arrange your pictures.
Match script to your pictures. You can type your script into the narration box with each picture.
Add a Title to your trailer. Add background and credit images.
Add effects and transitions to your pictures. Don't remove black borders.
Create Music. Skip ahead to Add Background Music. Make sure the music enhances your review.
Preview the flow of pictures and music.
Narrate and Customize Motion. You will read the script notes. Try to narrate with emotion.
Finalize. Make any corrections you may still need.
Save as movie. Please let me now when you are ready for this step.
